Alia B’s Raya 2025 marks a decade of style with RHAPSODY, a collection that blends nostalgia, refinement, and modern femininity.
“Alia B’s RHAPSODY tells the story of how ALIA B girls have blossomed into remarkable women,” shares Creative Director Alia Bastamam. “It’s about celebrating their journey—how they’ve grown into mothers, wives, business leaders, and empowered individuals. This milestone collection reflects that transformation in a way that is more refined, mature, and versatile—perfect for Raya and beyond.”
Designing a Modern Raya Dream
Spanning 31 looks, RHAPSODY presents a curation of silhouettes that embrace movement, grace, and versatility. Flowing kaftans, wrap dresses, and structured kebayas redefine traditional Raya elegance. This collection introduce a sense of freedom and contemporary sophistication. The color palette is a visual narrative in itself. The whimsical pastels like blush and sage evoke romance, while deep jewel tones and bold blacks add a dramatic touch of confidence.

Rooted in tradition yet pushing the boundaries of modern design, post-colonial Malaya inspirations can be found throughout the collection. “I wanted to create something that feels familiar yet fresh, a balance between nostalgia and modernity,” explains Alia. Delicate floral motifs, airy fabrics, and heritage-inspired cuts are seamlessly woven into the collection, offering timelessness with a modern twist.
The Making of RHAPSODY: A Story of Passion and Craftsmanship
The journey to bring RHAPSODY to life began in April 2024, when Alia B embarked on her first post-pandemic sourcing trip. By August, the samples were finalized, and production was in full swing—all while the brand prepared for KL Fashion Week and its debut at Dubai Fashion Week.

Adding to the campaign’s grandeur, Marion Caunter and Raline Shah shine alongside DiDance dancers, under the direction of renowned choreographer Dida Mallik. Captured by Azim Mahayudin and Jufri Jamal, the visuals reflect fluidity, grace, and movement, enhancing the transformation narrative.
“Marion brings high style and sophistication while remaining relatable—she’s the quintessential ALIA B woman. Raline, with her poise and international appeal, perfectly reflects RHAPSODY’s colorful yet refined identity,” Alia notes.
Introducing RHAPSODY SCARVES: A Timeless Accessory
For the first time, ALIA B ventures into the world of scarves with the launch of RHAPSODY SCARVES. It is a collection of soft French lace scarves available in black, white, and nude.

“I’ve always loved delicate lace scarves, but they’re often either too expensive or hard to find,” Alia shares. Designed to be effortless and graceful, these scarves redefine elegance and offering versatility. Whether styled as a selendang, bandana, or draped over the shoulders.
A Decade of Memories, A Future of Possibilities
For Alia Bastamam, the most rewarding part of designing Raya collections is seeing her creations become woven into the lives of the women who wear them.
“Raya is about love, connection, and joy. Seeing women wear ALIA B for their first Raya as a mother, or for special moments with their loved ones, reminds me why I do what I do,” she reflects. RHAPSODY is more than a collection; it celebrates style, tradition, and the stories we create together. For more information, visit their website here.
