1. Feeka Coffee Roasters, Bukit Bintang

I stumbled upon this café in 2018 and have made a point to visit it each time I’m in Kuala Lumpur. Over the years, the food, coffee, and service remains consistently excellent. Although the cafe is located in the heart of Bukit Bintang, it offers a peaceful escape from the city buzz.

2. Randevu, Wangsa Maju

What sets Randevu Coffee apart is their youthful and hospitable crew. They expanded from a former sidewalk coffee stand to serving smooth, smoky speciality brews in their own coffee shop. Indulge in their homemade delights, we recommend chocolate and matcha. Randevu is owned by young entrepreneurs, Hijjaz and his brother Haridz Suhaimi. They began selling coffee in January 2022 on Wangsa Maju’s roadside before expanding into a cafe. Make sure to check out their cafe and support local entrepreneurs.

3. Bean Brothers, Linc KL

Experience great coffee at Bean Brothers! They are famous in Kuala Lumpur for a reason, You must try their heavenly grilled cheese sandwich that pairs perfectly with coffee. Their staff’s warm welcome adds to the charm of this neighbourhood hangout. Located in The Linc, it’s a great place for brunch or a quick lunch. The menu was rather limited, and we wish it had more options.

4. Broom, Bukit Bintang

It’s not just about the coffee; it’s a sanctuary of ambience. Although situated a fair distance from the nearest train station, the journey to this gem is entirely worth it.

During my visit, I indulged in a culinary masterpiece: sourdough toast topped with a harmonious blend of spicy mayo, a fluffy omelette, sambal udang, and crispy onions. Each bite was a divine experience, perfectly balancing spice, texture, and flavor.

What truly sets this café apart, however, is its cosy ambience. The warm and inviting atmosphere makes it difficult to leave. It’s not just a place to eat; it’s a destination to relax, unwind, and soak in the vibes that make you forget the hustle and bustle of the outside world.

Highly recommended for anyone looking to relax and unwind over good food.

5. Bask, APW Bangsar

This café is renowned for its exclusive offering of Basque Cheesecakes, a true indulgence for cheesecake lovers. Here, the baked cheesecake is not merely served; it’s celebrated with a unique twist. Each cheesecake is presented on its side, showcasing a tantalizingly gooey centre, with creamy cheese luxuriously overflowing.

The café is adorned with elegant teakwood furnishings and rich green accents, creating an atmosphere that’s both inviting and stylish. This setting enhances the dining experience, making each visit not just about the food but also about soaking in the ambience.

Beca Tea located at Damansara Uptown is run by a Malaysian family experienced in tea traditions since the 1930s. With five generations of expertise, the café offers innovative tea options, from nitro tea to cha-kigori. While it’s primarily for grab-and-go, its natural-themed interiors are Instagram-worthy. Make sure to pay a visit if youre a tea lover.

8. Flo Millerz Square
