From iced lattes to espresso shots, the new Vertuo Up is bringing café-quality coffee to our homes. Aren’t we spoiled?

After a day of braving KL’s heat, a hazelnut latte is my true saving grace. It’s a non negotiable, even if I must stop by an overpriced cafe before work and wince at the dent left in my bank account.
As I’m sure most of us feel, I don’t want to compromise on caffeine, and this is the exact beacon that Nespresso replies to. How no matter the mood, the blends in our cups should match.
So at Nespresso’s latest launch which presented the new Vertuo Up, I witnessed this harmony in action. A machine mapped around versatility; offering a variety of ways to enjoy your cup, whether hot, iced, dairy or plant-based. Though I feel coffee tastes best on ice, in the comfort of one’s own home, latte liberty is all yours.

The Vertuo Up is built around a simple question: What Else?
Even as a hazelnut latte loyalist myself, the experimentation the machine encourages is beyond tempting. Fancy a classic espresso? Go for it. Seen a cafe menu with orange juice infused lattes? Concoct it yourself.
This is only possible due to Nespresso’s Centrifusion™ Technology, which spins each capsule at high speed while adding hot water. The resulting blend is a smooth aromatic profile topped with Nespresso’s signature velvety crema.

The Coffee Creations mode ensures that bold flavours remain intact, even when poured over ice or blended with milk. What steams in your mug is a rich, aromatic and balanced sip no matter how you choose to enjoy it.
Rather than just a forgettable feature, it stirs inspiration for home-brewers to tailor every cup to their liking. Because some mornings call for a simple espresso, and other days deserve a drizzle of syrup.
The new flavour to know: NOLA Style Blend
Crafted with Brazilian Arabica beans and a touch of premium Mexican Robusta, the blend serves warm cereal notes layered with caramelised sweetness. But what truly sets it apart is its subtle chicory flavour, a note long associated with New Orleans-style coffee.
When I first tasted it at the launch, what stood out was how beautifully the blend serves with oat milk. The caramel notes softened into a creaminess, while tinges of chicory brought a lightly roasted, almost nostalgic finish that lingered on the palate. It’s rich without feeling heavy, making it just as lovely served over ice as it is warm.

The Nespresso Vertuo Up is now available at Nespresso boutiques nationwide and online at nespresso.com/my.
With Vertuo Up, Nespresso is helping create space for curiosity in our everyday routines. After all, the most memorable coffees are often the ones we make at home, as a sip of self-care.
