Cerruti 1881 introduces a new watch – a timepiece that seamlessly blends technical prowess with a distinctly masculine essence. The Molveno arrives with a captivating aesthetic and impeccable precision.
Inspired by the Italian Municipality of Molveno
Taking its name from the Italian municipality of Molveno, nestled to the Northwest of Trento, the Cerruti 1881 Molveno draws inspiration from the breathtaking landscapes of the Italian Alps. The watch collection receives this appellation owing to its unique embodiment of masculine design elements inherent in Italian aesthetics, each brimming with its own distinct character.
Currently, the collection offers two distinct series, primarily set apart by variations in the dials.
The Perfect Blend of Form and Function
The watches come with robust stainless-steel cases measuring 45.5mm in diameter, coated with a durable ion plating that emits a rugged vibe.
Beyond their dimensions, these timepieces also offer similar functionalities. Fueled by the same precise Japanese quartz movement, the Molveno presents conventional time at the centre of the display, accompanied by three practical sub-dials indicating the day, home time in 24 hours, and a second time zone in 24 hours. Additionally, a date aperture graces the 4 o’clock position, while the dial’s bold indicators swiftly convey all essential information.
The case boasts a blend of finishings, encompassing flat brushed angles and matte surfaces. These elements accentuate the slender dodecagonal bezel, lending the watch its distinct appearance. Complementing the design, the prominent pushers and angled crown ensure seamless operation of the timepiece’s functions. A stainless-steel case engineered by Cerruti 1881 guarantees water resistance of up to 50 meters.
The primary distinction between the two assortments of watches within the Molveno collection lies in the watch’s dial. The initial set showcases a sunburst dial, exhibiting a captivating shimmer from varying viewpoints. Conversely, the second set features a skeletonized dial, granting a glimpse into the watch’s internal mechanisms. Apart from this, both dials feature identical outlined Arabic numerals for even-numbered hour markers. The remaining baton markers align with the central baton hour and minute hands.
