Nobu Kuala Lumpur’s Limited-Edition Sundown Harmony Menu

Nobu Kuala Lumpur Unveils Sundown Harmony: A Refined Sunset Omakase This March

Nobu Kuala Lumpur has introduced a limited-edition dining experience that feels quietly celebratory and luxurious. If you’ve had your fair share of Ramadhan staples and are ready to savour a different kind of buka puasa, the menu offerings at Nobu Kuala Lumpur might interest you.

Available from 1 to 18 March 2026, the Sundown Harmony Omakase offers an individual menu and a sharing menu for four pax. The omakase is built on balance, precision and quality produce flown in from Japan.

It is not merely another seasonal menu. It is a measured expression of the Nobu philosophy: restraint, clean lines of flavour, and ingredients treated with respect.

A Dining Room Framed by the Sky

The restaurant’s interiors remain one of the capital’s most polished settings. Warm timber panels, discreet lighting and expanses of glass create a room that feels both intimate and open to the city.

The Omakase

Priced at RM460++ per person, the Sundown Harmony Omakase unfolds with a gentle cadence.

The opening selection — pecan nuts, dates and dry apricot, alongside plantain chip guacamole — may surprise regulars accustomed to sharper Japanese cues.

Sushi at Its Best

Sushi Bento

The Sushi Bento is where Nobu’s expertise becomes evident. The Yellowtail Jalapeño is textbook: clean slices of fish, cool and buttery, lifted by a precise flash of heat. The chef’s sushi selections showcase produce imported from Japan, each piece cut with confidence and seasoned with restraint. The rice is at body temperature, gently vinegared, never dominating the fish.

The crispy soft-shell crab cut roll offers contrast — crunch giving way to sweet, delicate flesh — while the spicy tuna cut roll is assertive but controlled. Heat, here, is an accent, not a blunt instrument.

Those opting for the Vegetable Bento will find equal care in the watercress salad and the asparagus dry miso cut roll. Even without seafood, the balance of texture and umami holds firm.

The Signature Hot Course

The seafood options are compelling. Black Cod Miso remains a benchmark dish: sweet, caramelised edges giving way to silken flesh beneath. It flakes at the touch, rich but never cloying. The chargrilled jumbo shrimp, brushed with Nobu’s proprietary sauces, carry smoke and sweetness in equal measure.

Lamb Anticucho Miso

For those inclined towards meat, the A3 Wagyu Sukiyaki is deeply satisfying. The marbling melts into the broth, delivering richness tempered by savoury depth. Lamb Anticucho Miso, meanwhile, nods to Nobu’s Japanese-Peruvian lineage, its marinade lending gentle spice and complexity.

Dessert — a trio that may include Nobu Mango Cheesecake, homemade mochi or a miso cappuccino — closes the evening with composure. The mango cheesecake is light, fragrant and far less heavy than its name suggests.

The Sharing Menu: A Generous Spread

For larger gatherings, the RM1700++ sharing menu for four leans into abundance without sacrificing finesse.

It begins simply: beetroot dry miso salad, miso soup, and small appetisers that encourage conversation. Lobster tacos with wasabi aioli are particularly memorable — crisp shells giving way to sweet lobster, sharpened by the faint sting of wasabi. Umami chicken wings are sticky and satisfying, while the Japanese Nasu Special brings silky aubergine depth.

Japanese Nasu Special

The sushi course reaffirms the kitchen’s strength. Fish is pristine, the cuts confident, the seasoning exact. Fresh produce from Japan makes the difference here; the flavour of the seafood is clean, almost luminous.

Hot dishes include Black Cod Butter Lettuce and Anticucho Crab Rice, each demonstrating the brand’s flair for layering flavour without excess. The choice between Lamb Anticucho Miso and Peruvian-style rib eye steak ensures the table leaves well-fed but not overwhelmed.

Dessert, notably the Chocolate Bento Box and miso cappuccino, feels indulgent yet balanced — a fitting end to a menu designed for shared moments.

A Sunset Worth Savouring

Sundown Harmony is, at heart, about timing. Arrive as daylight begins to soften. Order thoughtfully. Watch the skyline fade while plates arrive in measured succession.

In a city crowded with dining options, Nobu Kuala Lumpur continues to distinguish itself through consistency and precision. The sushi is exemplary, the produce first-rate, and the setting among the finest in Kuala Lumpur.
