Feel the heart of Malaysia’s deepest cultural mosaics at Citrawarna, a three-day festival in Merdeka Square.

Hosted jointly with Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) the beloved cultural festival Citrawarna is returning to Merdeka Square from 24th July to 26th July 2026.

Organised alongside Tourism Malaysia and partners such as Yes Travel & Holidays Sdn. Bhd, the event will feature performers from across Malaysia. All set to be held at the vibrant Merdeka Square, Malaysian heritage will be honoured through local creativity.

Citrawarna has been at the forefront of Malaysia’s art and culture sector since 1999. Thus, the event theme, ‘The Rhythm. The Soul. The Nation. which truly embodies their vision and purpose, to propel cultural diversity, tourism and uplift homegrown communities.

Experiences at Citrawarna 2026

  1. Colours of Parade:(25th July), where music, dance and storytelling will converge in a collective expression of identity.
  2. Colours of Flavour: Will focus on Malaysian food. Look forward to an abundant spread of Malaysia’s richest culinary creations and specialities.
  3. Colours of Culture: Experience traditional Malaysian performances and immersive activities.
  4. Colours of Art: Placing the spotlight on unique handicrafts and live demonstrations by homegrown artists and creative voices.
