Astro Shaw celebrates Ramadan through a heartfelt campaign with Mirinda, blending film, community, joy and tradition.
From exclusive iftar sessions to celebrity meet-and-greets and e-Duit Raya giveaways, this year’s collaboration between Astro Shaw and Mirinda is one that speaks to both the heart and the screen.

Iftar with a Purpose
In a gesture of compassion and unity, Astro Shaw and Mirinda hosted a special iftar for 40 children from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Ehsan Ash-Shakur. Held in Rawang, Selangor, the event saw the presence of beloved cast members from Astro Shaw’s upcoming and returning films and series—Keluang Man, Abah Saya Uncle Mike, One Cent Thief 2, and First Wives—bringing smiles and unforgettable memories to the children in attendance.
The presence of Amy Gan, Vice President of Marketing at Etika Sdn Bhd, and Norsalvina Alwee, Head of Branding at Astro Shaw, reflected the commitment of both brands to meaningful engagement. With duit raya, gift hampers, and shared stories, the buka puasa gathering felt more like a family celebration than a corporate affair.

Casting a Wider Net of Joy
The celebration didn’t stop there. Astro Shaw and Mirinda launched the Mirinda Riang Raya Bersama-Sama campaign, a multi-layered initiative blending entertainment and community connection. With interactive meet-and-greet sessions across major retail spaces, fans got the chance to meet their on-screen favourites, including the stars of Keluang Man, Abah Saya Uncle Mike, and First Wives.
For film buffs with dreams of stardom, four selected supermarket locations doubled as audition venues for Astro Originals’ upcoming premium drama, Bad Cop. A golden ticket for aspiring talents. Spend RM20 or more on selected beverages like Mirinda, 7UP, Wonda, and Goodday Charge for a chance at becoming a talent.
More Than a Drink: Mirinda’s Festive Refresh
Mirinda has long been synonymous with Malaysia’s festive seasons, and this year, the brand brings more than just a fizzy dose of nostalgia. In the spirit of giving, the brand is offering an impressive e-Duit Raya giveaway worth RM260,000, running until the end of April 2025. Every RM15 spent on participating brands offers a chance to win cash rewards—proof that this fizzy favourite knows how to keep things fresh and festive.
Mirinda also dropped a special Raya trailer for Abah Saya Uncle Mike, a heartwarming film based on the real-life story of a Chinese father and his three adopted Malay sons. The film, which champions diversity and compassion, is set to premiere in cinemas this August, with Keluang Man hitting screens on May 29 and First Wives airing April 11 on Astro.
A Raya to Remember
Blending the richness of Malaysian storytelling, the warmth of community, and a sprinkle of stardust from your favourite celebrities, Astro Shaw and Mirinda have crafted a campaign that feels personal and celebratory for this Raya. It’s more than just a marketing moment—it’s a meaningful initiative that highlights the joy of connection, the power of representation, and the true spirit of Raya.
