PUBG MOBILE’s Collaboration with MASDO Brought Gig Energy to Gaming

PUBG MOBILE MASDO

PUBG MOBILE officially launched its first-ever collaboration with a Malaysian music group, none other than retro-pop icons MASDO.

From 27 August until 30 September, players were able to experience an entirely new layer of gameplay where music and battle royale vibes collided. The update wasn’t just about adding a soundtrack. It was about weaving MASDO’s signature charm into the very fabric of the game; a way to celebrate connection and friendship in the most unexpected arena.

Tracks That Travelled Beyond Spotify

MASDO fans were already familiar with the single “Bertemu Kembali,” released in March 2025. But for this campaign, the track took on new life in PUBG MOBILE, where players could unlock it permanently by completing in-game missions. The message was clear: just like in music, the battleground always offers a chance to reconnect and rise again.

To match the collab’s fresh energy, MASDO also released a brand-new track, “Setia Bersamamu”. This anthem celebrates loyalty, teamwork, and that unspoken bond between friends who stick by each other through thick and thin — values that hit hard for both gamers and MASDO’s fanbase.

Your Teammates Just Got Louder

For fans who live for every little detail, PUBG MOBILE rolled out a MASDO Base Edition Voice Pack featuring Ali Sariah, Asmawi, and Putu Ceri. These voicelines were available for free and permanently added to players’ accounts.

Going further, the game introduced 20 new voicelines as part of the “Setia Bersamamu” update, all of which players could unlock using Ocean Crystals. Suddenly, every “cover me!” or “let’s go!” came with a dose of MASDO’s personality. It turned squad coordination into something uniquely Malaysian.

Why MASDO Made Sense

The fit between PUBG MOBILE and MASDO wasn’t just clever marketing; it was about culture. “Music unites, just like PUBG MOBILE does,” explained Izati Hashim, Marketing Manager for PUBG MOBILE Malaysia. She highlighted how MASDO’s timeless retro-pop sound carried a universal charm, capable of connecting people across backgrounds. The collaboration marked a milestone: MASDO became the first Malaysian group to feature inside the game, an achievement both the band and players could be proud of.

More Than a Game Update

The collaboration launched officially on 27 August 2025 at 10 AM GMT+8, complete with new in-game equipment and updates. Fans were also treated to the campaign’s music video via PUBG MOBILE Malaysia’s YouTube channel, while the new single “Setia Bersamamu” dropped on Warner Music Malaysia’s official page.

The timing of this collab couldn’t have been better. As gaming continued to expand beyond just playtime into lifestyle, culture, and identity, this partnership reminded everyone that the line between music and games had officially blurred.
