Charles Melton is Coach’s Coolest Move Yet

Charles Melton

In a campaign that’s equal parts style and cinema, Coach unveiled a new chapter of its Soho Sneaker story—this time with Charles Melton stepping into the spotlight.

The actor, known for his magnetic presence in Riverdale and May December, stars in “Not Just For Walking”, a witty, thriller-inspired short film directed by Alma Har’el, the creative force behind Honey Boy.

The campaign opens with Melton pacing in his kitchen, lines in hand, preparing for a fictional role. A paparazzo lurks outside. But instead of shrinking from the flashbulbs, he pulls off a slick switcheroo—leaving behind a pair of Soho Sneakers as bait, and escaping in a getaway car where a second pair awaits. It’s stylish mischief, stitched together with cinematic flair and Coach’s signature attitude.

A Classic Revived for Today’s Streetwear Aesthetic

With retro notes drawn from late ’80s and early ’90s cross-trainers, the Soho Sneaker is Coach’s boldest sneaker silhouette yet. It made its debut at the Spring 2025 runway show and has since hit stores in new materials and colours, each version walking the line between nostalgia and now.

Charles Melton isn’t the only star in this style universe. The campaign also features talents like singer Audrey Nuna, WNBA star Satou Sabally, and NASCAR’s Toni Breidinger, all embodying Coach’s ethos: The Courage to Be Real.

And Melton? He delivers that ethos with ease—cool, composed and compelling, proving once again that some shoes are made not just for walking, but for making an entrance.
