There are fashion events that celebrate style, and then there are those that rewrite the narrative.
Fashionably Modest Asia (FMA) 2025, held from 18 to 20 November at Pavilion Damansara Heights, belongs to the latter. As the Official Presenter and Beauty & Makeup Partner, Wardah Malaysia infused the three-day showcase with beauty, confidence, and innovation — setting the tone for a new chapter in modest fashion across.

With its mission to elevate modest wear beyond trend, FMA 2025 positioned itself as the region’s definitive stage for modern elegance. Across its three-day run, the event brought together Malaysian and regional designers, celebrities, and tastemakers, each contributing to a story that blended cultural heritage with contemporary artistry.
A Dazzling Opening by Min Luna x Sekian
The event opened with a collection that immediately captured the audience’s attention — Min Luna x Sekian. It wasn’t just a fashion show; it was a declaration of modern identity. The collaboration marked the debut of Min Luna’s new digital platform, dedicated to modest style, lifestyle curation, and accessible luxury.

Soft silks met structured tailoring as the designer played with muted tones, layered textures, and fluid silhouettes that spoke to the modern woman: graceful, confident, and unapologetically herself. The collection balanced practicality with poetry — proof that modest fashion could be both effortless and editorial.

Nine other Malaysian designers followed, including TACT, Ezzati Amira, Hasz Hisham, Shaz Nash, Afiq M, Bev C, SVG, Huntilanak, and Behati, each adding their signature touch. Together, they painted a vivid picture of Malaysia’s evolving design language — rooted in culture yet fluent in global style.
Wardah: The Heart of Beauty at FMA
No modern runway is complete without makeup that enhances the message. Enter Wardah, the event’s Official Presenter and Beauty & Makeup Partner, who elevated every look with natural radiance. The brand’s Colorfit line, paired with live beauty demonstrations by Mira Filzah, reflected Wardah’s belief that beauty should empower, not overpower.
Zaireen Ibrahim, Country Director of ParagonCorp MY, described it best: “Wardah’s presence at FMA 2025 was about empowerment, innovation, and celebrating local creativity.” Each brushstroke and lip tint carried a message of confidence, reminding audiences that beauty and faith can coexist seamlessly on the runway.

Wardah’s backstage artistry, paired with the designers’ creative vision, turned every look into a visual story — one of individuality, inclusivity, and undeniable charm.
Regional Talent and a Finale to Remember
As the show unfolded, FMA expanded its spotlight to regional talents, featuring designers like Na Forrer (Brunei), Khaar (Vietnam), Chris Nick (Philippines), and Benang Jarum (Indonesia). Each brought a distinct cultural voice, turning the runway into a cross-ASEAN conversation about craftsmanship and sustainability.

The final day, however, belonged to Malaysia’s couture icons. From Fuzana Mokhtaza to Radzuan Radziwill, the stage shimmered with artistry. The night culminated in a breathtaking finale by Hatta Dolmat, whose collection fused traditional detailing with avant-garde structure. Gowns of metallic embroidery and soft tulle moved like liquid light under the spotlights, closing the event on a note of grandeur and grace.

Editor’s Note: A Defining Moment for Modest Fashion
Fashionably Modest Asia 2025 did more than showcase beautiful clothes — it redefined what modesty looks like in the modern era. It was proof that modest fashion can be as bold, expressive, and luxurious as any couture show.
With Wardah’s luminous touch tying everything together, the event became more than a fashion week; it became a movement that celebrated strength, diversity, and identity. If this debut was any indication, FMA is not just here to stay — it is here to lead.
